An instructional set intended as an educational tool for interpreters and interpreter trainees in the medical setting. It explains, in general terms, certain tests, procedures, pre- and post-operative instructions, admission forms, patient advocate roles, and powers of attorney. These tapes were originally designed to assist medical personnel in obtaining the necessary information to admit and diagnose problems affecting their deaf patients, before an interpreter arrives.

Includes sign language; the sign system represented is American Sign Language.
